A Santa Clara and San Jose institution, the Westfield Valley Fair shopping center boasts the largest collection of name brands and luxury retailers under one roof in the entire San Francisco Bay Area. With more than 240 stores, a sprawling food court, rows of kiosk retailers, and several restaurants, Westfield Valley Fair is a destination for shoppers from all over the Bay Area. With two separate Macy’s locations (Macy’s Men’s and Home, Macy’s) a Nordstrom, and a plan to add both Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdale’s, the shopping center has firm anchors to attract shoppers and almost a guarantee to carry everything that you might be looking for.

Beginning in the mid 1950’s as two separate outdoor shopping centers (Valley Fair Shopping Center and Stevens Creek Plaza), the area straddles the City boundaries of both Santa Clara and San Jose and is subject to governance by both. In 1986 the two shopping centers were combined into one indoor multi-level shopping center and renamed “Valley Fair”. With the addition of Nordstrom in 1987, Valley Fair quickly became one of the most popular and successful shopping centers of its kind in the nation. After changing hands several times over the years, it is currently owned by the Westfield Group, which manages shopping centers around the United States, and operates under the name Westfield Valley Fair.

With a Build-a-Bear Workshop, a Disney Store, Lego, and many more children’s clothing, entertainment, and specialty shops, this is a family-oriented venue with something for everyone. High-end boutiques such as Armani Exchange, BCBGMAXAZRIA, Bebe, Louis Vuitton, or the more everyday Gap, The Limited, Guess or Express stores are popular with women looking to pick up the latest fashions. This shopping center has one of the largest selections of high-end fashion, both upscale and bargain priced, under one roof in the entire state. Men can find their items at the trendy and hip Lucky Brand Jeans and Ed Hardy stores to the more refined Hugo Boss and Club Monaco brands.

Among the 240 retailers present there are stores for pets, home furnishings, shoes, luggage and many specialty stores. There area a multitude of snacks available for purchase that are scattered throughout Valley Fair such as Mrs. Fields famous cookies, or a Cinnabon cinnamon roll. Shoppers can take a break from their shopping at the food court or at one of the almost 20 restaurants.

Westfield Valley Fair is planning on an expansion soon which will add another 97 stores to the offerings as well as adding ample new parking for the shopping center.
