SUNNYVALE — A man riding a bicycle died Monday morning after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Fremont and Mary avenues, according to the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
The man’s identity has not yet been released by the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office.
The collision happened at 7:01 a.m., according to Capt. Jeffrey Plecque of the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety. The male driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police investigation, Plecque said.
The incident did not involve any students.
At this point police do not believe drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
