Dog bite–Nov. 15, 10:32 a.m. Teal Drive. A jogger was bitten by a dog as he ran past a woman and her son. The bite resulted in six punctures. The dog owner offered to trade information with the victim, but the jogger panicked and left.

Vehicle burglary–Nov. 11, 11:30 p.m. Oakmead Park. The rear passenger window of a victim’s vehicle was broken and a black bag full of board games was stolen from the car. The board games include Scrabble, Time Line and Settlers of Catan. The estimated value of the bag and games is $100.

Shoplifting–Nov. 10, 1:57 p.m. A theft occurred at a Target when a suspect stole baby formula and fled the store undetected. The theft was captured on surveillance video. The suspect on the video was recognized as the same suspect from similar theft cases at a Target in San Jose. The suspect denied committing any thefts when confronted by officers.

Resisting arrest–Nov. 5, 10:51 p.m. El Camino Real. A suspect who was being detained for violation of a restraining order and who had an outstanding bench warrant for $100,000 attempted to flee from officers. The individual resisted officers by force. The suspect was apprehended and booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail.

Welfare check–Nov. 5, 5:21 p.m. Ahwanee Avenue. DPS received a package of handwritten letters sent by a Sunnyvale resident detailing how he believed numerous people wanted to kill him. When officers went to conduct a welfare check on the resident, no one responded at his home, and officers have no further information on his whereabouts.

Vehicle burglary–Nov. 5, 2:12 p.m. Persian Drive.

A resident parked his gray Mercedes Benz in the parking lot of the Brass Rail. Upon returning to his vehicle, he realized that he had not locked the car. His wallet, softball equipment and bag had been stolen. The estimated value of the items taken is roughly $1,600.

Public intoxication and indecent exposure–Nov. 5, 09:34 a.m. Wolfe Road. Officers responded to report of a male drinking and masturbating in front of the UFC Gym. The man was arrested and found to be on court probation. He was taken to the Main Jail.

Simple assault–Nov. 1, 1:15 a.m. Reed Avenue. A taxi driver was knocked to the ground by a fare who refused to pay for the taxi ride. The suspect jumped out of the taxi while it was moving.

Vehicle theft–Oct. 29, 9:52 p.m. Bernardo Avenue. The victim locked and parked her Honda Civic at her residence and went inside. When she went back out two hours later, her car was gone. The victim’s keys were accounted for, and she said that she did not give anyone permission to use or take possession of her vehicle. The victim told officers that this is the second time the car has been stolen.
