Pumas 97B

The West Valley Pumas 97B, an under-17 boys competitive soccer team, is looking for players, particularly a goalkeeper. The team plays in the Central Coast Soccer League Bay/Coastal Gold Division and is directed by professional coach Nic Melton. Special tourney

The third annual golf tournament to raise funds for the College of Adaptive Arts will be held on Oct. 13 at La Rinconada Country Club. Tee-off is at 9 a.m., followed by a lunch and banquet at 2 p.m. Players must fundraise a minimum of $300 to participate and each foursome will include a special needs golfer.

Fall ball

The Quito Little League is holding a fall ball program for boys and girls ages 5-14. The cost of $110 per player includes a cap and jersey, and there are no boundary restrictions. Practices begin on Aug. 17 with games to begin Sept. 7 (dates are approximate). Contact John Vlahos at fallball@quitoll.org.

Quakes teams

The San Jose Earthquakes will field under-9 through under-16 teams as part of their youth development program that already includes under-14, under-16 and under-18 programs. The seven new programs will make up the Earthquakes Pre-Academy and they will begin a recreational program for players ages 4-11, called the Earthquakes Elite Player Development.
