Are you a new router owner or want to learn more about the tool? You've got the most versatile machine in the shop; now learn how to do great woodworking with it. Bring it to class or use one available at the Sawdust Shop in order to get hands-on experience. Activities include: routing from templates to create complex shapes quickly; profiling and coping moldings for frame-and-panel doors, project feet, and table tops; cutting rabbets and dados to make bookshelves and cabinets; cutting arcs and circles for speaker cabinets, table tops, and inlays; jointing and slotting edges to join boards into panels; boring patterns of holes for adjustable shelving, jigs, and fixtures; fluting and raising panels for drawer fronts and cabinet doors; making a circle-cutting, offset base for your own router. |
